Cinema of the Americas Committee
The Cinema of the Americas Committee is made up of enthusiastic and committed individuals who support and promote the activities of the Cinema of the Americas program at the Chicago International Film Festival. The Cinema of the Americas Program features innovative works and exciting new voices in filmmaking emerging from South and Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Supported by a grant from the Academy Foundation of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, the Program includes a series of thought-provoking public programs, including panel discussions, filmmaker conversations, and post-screening receptions at which the filmmakers and local film experts, professionals, and audience members can interact, teach, discuss, and exchange ideas.
