2010 WORKSHOPS

9AM-10AM

  • Story: discuss characters, dialogue, and conflict as you study well known scripts and discuss your own experience with creating story for film.

10AM-11AM and 11AM-NOON (each workshop held twice, filmmakers choose one workshop per hour)

  • Storyboard: plot out your shooting storyboard with Columbia College Chicago Film & Video instructor Jack Newell and Jellyvision's Rudra Banerji
  • Acting/Casting: get the inside scoop about the casting process and advice on how to work with actors from Teresa Thoma of Claire Simon Casting
  • Set Design: learn about the art of set design from Emmy award winning set designer, Mary Margaret Bartley
  • Editing: discover more than just the basics of Final Cut Editing, learn how to use editing as an art form to enhance your film and ideas from master editor, Steven Delisi
  • Effects: find out how to work with what you have to make special effects with producer and Columbia College Chicago Film & Video professor, Julian Grant
