Original films of any CineYouth Festival genre (Documentary, Drama, Comedy, Music Video, Experimental, Horror, Public Service Announcement, Animation) that have not been submitted to CineYouth in the past can be entered into the Festival.
Filmmakers must have been 21 years old or younger when they completed their project. If the film was a group project, the average age of the group must be 21 years old or younger.
The project length of all films and videos submitted must be 10 minutes or under. Projects that go over this limit will not be viewed or considered for screening or competition. If you have questions regarding this regulation, please email cineyouth@chicagofilmfestival.com
There is a submission fee for entries, see below. Please make your check or money order out to Cinema/Chicago. Individual or groups may submit as many projects as they wish to the Festival, but a completed entry form must accompany EACH ENTRY and each submission must be on ONE DVD (no compilation discs, please!).
Filmmakers will be notified of jury decisions in early April, 2012 via email.
