Entry Requirements and Submission Guidelines

Original films of any genre that have not been submitted to CineYouth in the past can be entered into the Festival. Filmmakers must have been 20 years old or younger when they completed their project.
The project length of all films and videos submitted must be 10 minutes or under. Projects that go over this limit will not be viewed, or considered for screening or competition.
There is a submission fee of $10 for each entry (please make your check or money order out to Cinema/Chicago). Individuals or groups may submit more than one project to the festival, but a completed entry form must accompany each entry and each submission must be on one DVD (no compilation discs).

Groups will need to identify one person as the project representative for festival communication. Please note that project representatives must be on the crew list in order to receive a filmmaking credit. Also, for group projects, you must list each member of the group and their ages. All members must have been under the age of 20 at the time of completion of the project in order to qualify for competition.
Submission Formats
All projects must be submitted on DVD for preview screening and judging. Clearly label each entry with the film title, entrant’s/group representative’s name, phone number, and an email address. Your submission will not be returned, so please do not submit an original product.
