Get Involved
Teachers
Most of our film screenings are appropriate for middle and high school ages. If you teach in the Chicago Public School system and are interested in using film as an educational tool and possibly bringing a class to one of our field trips, please contact Education Program Administrator Rebecca Fons at rfons@chicagofilmfestival.com. We would be more than happy to add you to our email and snail mail lists. Screening alerts and sign-ups are sent out monthly during the school year. We recommend that teachers sign-up for field trips as soon as possible since we work on a first-come, first-serve basis and our screenings fill up extremely fast!
Students
If you are a Chicago Public School student and are interested in attending one of our screenings with your class we encourage you to tell your teacher about us. Have them contact us at outreach@chicagofilmfestival.com for field trip information.
Volunteers
We are always looking for capable volunteers to assist us in managing our events. Volunteers are needed to help direct hundreds of students off and on buses before and after screenings. If you are interested in helping out with the Education Program during the Film Festival, please contact volunteer@chicagofilmfestival.com. If you are interested in assisting the Program in the winter or spring, please contact outreach@chicagofilmfestival.com. Volunteers get to see the same great movies and speakers as the students!
